Reliability Evaluation Area (Kurashiki Laboratory)

Our educational and research program focuses on reliability assessments, quality assurance, and test methods of materials and structures. Because the reliability assessment of structures determines the stress state induced by external forces, we primarily focus on structural stress analysis, computer simulations of structural deformations, and construction of a reliability assessment system for product life and safety. The primary devices and equipment used in our lab include a CCD camera, scanning electron microscope, desktop fatigue testing machine, hydraulic fatigue testing machine, laser microscope, compact cutter, and 3D shape measuring device.
